OVERVIEW
ECOPUR Industries, a polyurethane system house, belongs to Grupo Desmex, a leading supplier of additives, raw materials and machinery for the PU industry for over 14 years. ECOPUR offers a unique alternative for the production of aromatic polyester polyols, based on SOY BEAN OIL and PET (PolyEthyleneTerephthalate) resin. Our base polyols can be used in wide variety of applications:
- sprayed thermic insulation
- injected thermic insulation
- structural rigid foam
and have the following advantages:
- are produced from the plan based, annually renewable recourses
- reduce demand and dependence on limited petroleum reserves
- require considerably less energy to produce
- produce polyurethane products with equivalent or better physical characteristics
We are positive that we are providing our customers with the opportunity to expand their market by taking the advantage of availability of PET waste and soy beans. Apart from being able to produce high quality, cost-effective polyols with improved properties regarding strength and functionality, our technology is helping not to depend on petrochemicals and at the same time spare irreplaceable resources and the environment.
Through a long way of innovation from laboratory to the market, ECOPUR developed the technology and know-how to create high quality products that can be used again in the production: our second division is dedicated to the development of recycling solutions for medium to large size companies that have a considerable amount of PU production waste. We stepped away from a traditional mechanical way of recycling microcellular foam and integral semi-rigid foam. Through a unique chemical process, without loosing mechanical properties of the material, we recycle the industrial PU and return it as a Co-sysem to the original polyol. We provide our customer with the know-how and the technology to do it as in-house solution.
